It has been a fun experience recording this, my third CD for Shanachie. I recorded most of the tracks in Chicago, some in Seattle and some in Sligo. Since my childhood I can remember my father, the late Sean Nugent and the Pride of Erin Celi Band, playing in our house. The influence of hearing this music has stayed with me throughout my life and is prevalent in this CD. And many of the tunes I have acquired on my pilgrimage as an Irish musician. I hope you all enjoy it.
