These recordings feature the premier Ukrainian composer, Boris Lyatoshynsky born January 3, 1895 in Zhytomyr, Ukraine and died in Kiev April 15, 1968 include his performances with the State Symphony of the Ukrainian S.S.R. Of the creative Ukrainian creative voices of the first half of the 20th century, only three have achieved international recognition and acceptance: the sculptor Alexander Archipenko, the film-maker Alexander Dovzhenko, and the composer Boriz Lyatoshynsky.
